1. Do any of your relatives have intuitive or mediumistic gifts?
Our youngest son sometimes has precognitive dreams. He also is very good at reading for people! Our oldest son sees people sometimes when he closes his eyes. I believe it's only a matter of time before he awakens his psychic awareness. My mother and aunt have sensed spirits, but have never wanted to expand it into anything more. My husband is very psychic too, although he won't accept that word. I can call him intuitive though!
2.What was the first thing to happen to make you aware of your abilities? How old were you?
I was 18 years old. I was driving, and sort of day dreaming. I kept hearing a voice telling me I was going to be in an accident. Over and over it kept repeating this. It happened two minutes later! In another instance, when my son was three years old and was sick with a cold, I had given him some medicine and set him down to play. As I was about to take a shower my intuitive voice kept telling me to put the medicine away, but I ignored it. I thought he was so small he wouldn't be able to reach the bottle on the kitchen counter. When I came out of the shower he had eaten the whole bottle of pills. We had to take him to the hospital and have his stomach pumped. I felt horrible for not listening! It seems that my intuitive voice was always there, giving me warning messages or something as simple as letting me know who was calling. Or, like many people, I experience synchronicities such as thinking of someone and they would call.
3. How have your abilities helped you personally and professionally?
My gift has made me more alive spiritually. I try very hard not to judge people and to appreciate what others are going through. Often times I've had dreams that have provided me with insights to better understand my own crises. Today I am more in tune with my feelings, so I'm able to be more empathetic with my husband and children and sense what they are going through.Professionally: I love my job! As a psychic medium, I work from my home office. The ability to touch people in a profound way is very rewarding for my client and myself. I am able to feel their grief, but at the same time feel their relief in knowing their passed loved ones are not "dead". The feeling of love I experience from spirit and the people I am reading is incredible. What greater reward could anyone have in their profession?
4. If you were looking for a psychic for a reading, what would you look for?
I would like to know other people's experiences by way of recommendations. Checking out references is an excellent way to make sure they are legitimate and are accurate. I would look for someone who presents themselves in a professional manner but is also warm and friendly
5. What do you do with the information the psychic presents to you?
I accept what a psychic tells me during the reading and let the reading unfold. If something doesn't resonate with me, I simply discard it. No psychic is 100% accurate. With a mediumship reading, I talk to the medium like I normally would and validate whatever they are communicating to me. The information I get from a medium reading I hold closest to my heart because it feels so fantastic to hear from the people I miss the most.
6. Do you do anything to enhance your psychic abilities?
I love to read spiritual and metaphysical books. I find meditation is most important to expand anyone's intuitive and spiritual awareness. Also, I practice, practice, practice! I feel we are always learning!
7. Do you get overloaded with information if you are in large groups of people?
No, I naturally "close down" when I''m not getting ready to do a reading or when I''m around a group of people so I feel just like a normal person! I don't get information at the spur of the moment for people when I am in crowded places, although I can feel so much energy in a group. Sometimes it feels as if my body is vibrating inside.
8. Do you feel everyone is psychic?
Yes, I believe we all are, it's just a matter of "re-membering" and developing it. I believe we come into this world with the ability, but are taught to forget. We are taught as very young children that our "imaginary" friends are make believe. I feel a lot of times our "imaginary" friend may be a spirit guide or a spirit friend. Most of us are taught that psychic abilities are not possible, so our conscious mind reminds us of this when we have a forewarning or "know" things which makes us not trust our intuition.
9. What is the difference between a psychic and a medium like John Edward?
A psychic is someone who is clairvoyant, clairaudient or clairsentient, with one of these abilities or all. A psychic can read a person's past, present and future. Mediums communicate with spirits. All mediums are psychic (even though medium George Anderson claims not to be) but all psychics are not mediums. A medium proves to the sitter that there is an afterlife by giving evidence from spirit. They may describe how the person in spirit looked while here, tell how they passed and show their character and life's memories and give special messages to their loved one.
10. How is it possible to communicate with people who have crossed over?
Well, because deceased people are not really dead. We are all made up of energy and energy never dies. Our body is very dense, but once we rid ourselves of our body, our spirit's energy is very high. Very similar to electricity! It is necessary for the medium to raise her energy and the spirit to lower theirs to communicate clearly. When we are in spirit we communicate telepathically, so it is just a matter of "re-membering" and quieting our mind enough to hear the spirit's thoughts that are passed along to us.
11. Where do we go when we depart this life?
To the spirit world, or what is considered Heaven. They are one in the same. It's just another dimension, not thousands of miles away like you might think. Spirit can be around us as much as they choose, as they are only "a thought away".
12. How do you communicate potentially tragic or dreadful information to a client?
Very carefully! I have asked my guides not to give me tragic information to pass along. I ask only for information that can help my client, not scare them. If I can warn someone of something that can be changed, then I will do that, but if it is "written", then I don't want to know. I feel if I am given some sort of negative information, I give it. I believe if the person is not meant to know, then I wouldn't be given the information. It can sometimes just be a warning to be careful driving, be careful of a particular person, etc. As far as predicting death goes, I always tell people that we all have free will. Everyone can change their mind about passing if they choose to. It is between that person and God as to when, where and how they pass away. Sometimes though, if someone's grandmother is not doing well and is up in age and I feel she may pass soon, I will mention it gently just so the person has a chance to visit with grandma and say or do whatever they need to do.
13. How do you feel about the use of Tarot cards, crystal balls and runes for psychic readings?
I don't believe these things are necessarily needed. These are tools, and help, but I feel probably the best way when a person is developing their abilities is to trust what they see, hear and feel first.
14. What do your clients expect from a reading?
Most people have hopes of communicating with their passed loved ones. I believe they expect to leave the reading knowing their passed loved ones are still around them. I feel my client also would like a loving message from their loved ones to cherish. Most of my readings include "psychic" messages also about their future.
15. Have you ever received lottery numbers for yourself or a client?
I asked for lottery numbers from my guides once and each number they gave me was one number off from the winning numbers! Obviously they have a sense of humor. I don't believe our gift is supposed to be used to make people rich.
